Applications to help with messy file management
"Multi functional app to find duplicates, empty folders, similar images etc."
organize your files into categories
Windows alternative: DropIt (you have to manually set it up)
Image viewer with a quick move/copy function (press c or m and click the folder icons to set paths)
"organises your files into an internal database and browses them with tags instead of folders, a little like a booru on your desktop"
Searching your entire filesystem
Search on enter
Everything (non-free) - Windows
Search as you type
Compressing
ImageMagick - Linux, Windows (install with Scoop)
Cleaning download folders
- (Windows) Search for exe/msi files, probably not needed unless you want to archive a specific version of old software
- Search for zip/7z/rar, you probably won't need any of them if you extract right after download
Clearing cache and unused packages
flatpak uninstall --unused
